Cc – Day 1 – Coloring

This morning was sort of a dud. It’s bound to happen, eh?

Dig was very excited, as usual, asking for “school time” before he even finished his oatmeal.

I made all new big C and little c cutouts to go on our wall and we started in on the Cc is for Cat coloring page.

In the midst of the coloring and chatting about the C sound and cats, Charlie decided to make a big stink (in his pants). So, while I was dealing with that, Dig dropped a marker and on his way down to get it hit his mouth very hard on the edge of the table. There were lots of tears and a little bit of blood. But it put him totally off of school time for the day.

I had a fun little Cc is for Cat craft planned out, but we’ll just use it tomorrow. The last couple of weeks I had planned out a little bit and had ideas of what I was going to do, this week is a little more on the fly. It’s not that big of a deal because it takes very little time and effort of prep.

Oh well. Tomorrow is another day. I wouldn’t want to push him to do it if he’s not up to it – he’s not even three for goodness sakes, and I have no standards except the kind of behavior we expect at any other time.

Ah it is bound to happen, props to you for playing it by ear. You inspire me to start doing something with Norah.
