Ee – Day 1 – Elephant

We’re back on track this week. Dig is getting increasingly confused about which letter is which, but the crafts are fun. After reading Better Late Than Early I am starting to understand more about the way he functions – it is no surprise he cannot tell the subtle differences between alphabet letters at his age. And it is totally okay! To force him will turn off his drive to learn and could even impair his eyesight, among other things. We’re still going to keep right on with our plan of a letter a week. He will get it better next time.

E is for Elephant. I looked up many ways to do an elephant craft, and settled on my own idea. Big E makes the body/legs of our elephant, little e is the ear/trunk.

Dig rarely wants to do these projects on his own. It’s great to be invited to color with him. Time is going so fast – I have to be reminded that soon he will not need – or want – my help so much.
